Wonder

Wonder by R.J.Palacio

Wonder is about a boy, called August, with severe facial deformities. He has just started school for the first time. Jack, Charlotte and Julian have been asked to be his friend. But Julian thinks he's a freak and Jack is only doing it because he has been asked. Will August make it through the year?

This book is wonderfully written, (pun intended). I think that the fact that it is not only written from the point of view of August, but also lots of people that his life effects. I think, that the characters are really well thought out, and I love all the little twist and turns of the book.

I am going to give it a 10/10
and an age rating of 10+

Breathe

Breathe by Sarah Crossan

The world has world with no air, where everyone lives in a pod. The air is filtered in by the ministry, called BREATHE. Quinn and Bea think everything is all right. Until they meet Alina, a resistance meeting.

A really good book. It is written from the point of view of Quinn, Bea and Alina. All the characters are really well developed. The entire plot is really well thought up, and I love the sci-fi element.

I am going to give this book a 9/10
and an age rating of 11+

Lies we Tell Ourselves

Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Tally

Jefferson High school is integrating and the white pupils ave decided to make the black pupils life hell. Sarah is one of the new girls. Linda's dad  is the head segregationist. They hate it other. Or at least at the beginning....

Firstly I would like to point out that, even tough this is a wonderful book, it is very rude.

Now that I have got all the bad bits out, I can tell you about the good bits. Firstly the story line is brilliant. I like the way you see it from all sides of the story. I think that all the little twists and turns just make it an amazing book. There is also a slight hint of a love story there, if thats your thing.

I am going to give it a 10/10
and  age rating of 12+

Denton Little's Deathdate

Denton Little's Deathdate by Lance Rubin

Denton Little is going to die tomorrow. It's not a big deal, though, as he's known he's going to die today since the day he's born. But if he knew what he was getting into on his last day, he wouldn't be so calm.

I really liked this book. I thought the plot line, of someone with an early death, was great. I like the plot twist at the end (don't worry, no spoilers). The little bits in between the plot, which normally don't feel thought about, were really funny.

I am going to give it a 9/10
and an age rating of 12+ due to slightly inappropriate moments.

An Abundance of Katherines

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

Colin is down on his luck. Katherine XIX and he can't get over it, so he decides to go on a road trip. That's when he meets Lindsey. But she's not a Katherine.

For starters, sorry if that didn't make any sense. It's kind of hard to explain.

Secondly, this book is amazingly well. I love the story line, I love the characters..., I love everything about it.

I am going to give this book a 10/10
and an age rating of 11+
